SSL required prototypes to obtain approval from podiatry experts, marketing and product development team in the UK.

The incorporation of the in-moulded logo, the height of the edge of the heel cup and its overall size needed to be assessed, and drawings and CAD illustrations would just not do.

These prototypes were produced over a period of weeks to test various sizes and configurations.

The prototypes are manufactured from rigid urethane materials to represent the size and appearance.  The cushioing performance was not required to be assessed.

The master models for the silicone tooling were produced on Bayly's 4 axis NC mill.

These prototypes provided the confidence within the SSL team internationally to proceed with the project.  These products are now manufactured in Australia and sold around the World.
