Bayly and SSL have collaborated since the mid 90’s on developing a range of footcare products that make up part of their International range.  Bayly collaborates with SSL’s local marketing and logistics team as well as with the product development team based in the UK and around the World.

Together, Bayly and SSL have successfully added a total of 8 products across 5 product ranges that use Thermoplastic elastomers to provide cushioning and added comfort to consumers.  Most of the products are manufactured locally under the management of Bayly.  Other products remain in development.

Bayly provide not only the design for these products but in most cases the tooling and the components into SSL’s Australian, UK and Indian logistics, supply and distribution chain.

By collaborating closely with Bayly, SSL have been able to use Bayly’s experience in design and manufacturing to insulate themselves from the problems associated with learning curves, production establishment, tooling and process commissioning.  In this case, this enabled SSL to miminise their risk be being able to lock in the costs for the first year of supply and production.
