Vita Medicals' TechnegasPlus Generator
Working in conjunction with client Vita Medical, Bayly designed and developed the Technegas Plus Generator. The (TPG) is an Australian medical instrument invented to assist in the diagnosis of Pulmonary Embolism. The TPG is a non-invasive, medical instrument that produces a radioactive gas which is inhaled by the patient, tracked and then electronically displayed for review by medical specialists using a nuclear medicine Gamma camera. Once inhaled, the gas is trapped in the alveoli allowing the physician to view the ventilation pattern within a patient’s lungs and any obstructions in the pulmonary arterial tree. This controlled delivery process offers a quick, safe, and non-invasive method of delivering a radioactive compound deep into a patient’s lungs.
