The prototype package has been developed over the last two years by Nano Goods and Services and Nanotechnology Victoria.  Important contributions have been made by teams from RMIT University and The University of Melbourne, local design group Bayly Design, and specialist printer Fineline Printing.

Nanobits is an educational package aimed at teenagers and young adults, so that they can learn more about nanotechnology by a practical means.  It is a resource that can be used at the secondary school level, either as a teachers’ aid, or by individual students within their home environment.

The Nanobits packaging designed by Bayly, is formed as a tube and is patterned with a carbon nanotube design.  The tube opens at one end to allow access to a molded plastic tray holding the booklet, CD-ROM, and materials for practical experiments, catering for various learning styles.
