Award winning design solutions for more than 4 decades
Peter Bayly established the Bayly industrial design consultancy in William Street, Melbourne in June 1971.
Peter’s initial clients included iconic Australian manufacturer’s such as Hoover, Westinghouse Email, Wiltshire and Mistral; these were heady days designing Hoover’s first ever range of upright clothes washers, Wiltshire’s ever enduring Staysharp Knife, Email’s revolutionary Weatherwall and the Gyroaire fan for Mistral. These were products that earned Peter and his fledgling company design awards and accolades but most importantly, lasting relationships with important clients that would last many years and even decades.
Bayly Group is now owned by a second generation of the Bayly family. Mark Bayly joined Peter in 1994 and has worked in expanding the design engineering capabilities for which Bayly was well known. Peter retired in 2007 and the business continues today servicing a wide range of clients, particularly supporting the diminishing manufacturing base in Australia whilst tailoring its services to suit the flourishing entrepreneurial spirit of Australia’s business people.
Award winning products don't just happen but are a combination of a great idea, meticulous detail and refined design.
